SEPTEMBER SONG - Wiarton, Ont. - J. Aldersley

SEPTEMBER SONG ... Sept.2003 ... at home dock in Wiarton, Ont. I was surprised that all the deck hardware was original ... they had withstood the rigors of the circumnavigation.

SEPTEMBER SONG - Wiarton, Ont. - J. Aldersley

SEPTEMBER SONG ... built in 1982 with circumnavigation in mind ( sailed east from Halifax in 1983 ) ... all reef & cuningham lines led aft to the cockpit. as a start to her shakedown cruise, Mr. Aldersley entered her in the 1982 Sarnia to Mac single-handed race and set a course record ( in her class) that stood for 15+ years. This picture taken Sept. 2003 with myslef on deck
